Abstract

The samples used in this research were collected by Pot during October, November, December, and January 2021 in the fishing grounds of Konarak and Ramin located in the Sistan and Baluchestan provinces. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the length and weight abundance and the abundance of Pharaoh Cuttlefish (Sepia pharaonis) with temperature, salinity, oxygen, and pH in Konarak and Ramin fishing grounds. According to the data obtained in the Ramin region, the highest number was observed in January (129 specimens). According to the data obtained in the Konarak region, the highest number was observed in January (113 specimens). The composition of fishes caught by pot in the Ramin region showed that 14 species were caught in October, 11 species in November, 14 species in December, and 16 species in January. The results related to the monthly comparison of CPUE values showed that the highest values in these two regions were observed in January and the lowest values were observed in October. Also, the results of Pearson's test showed that there was a significant correlation between abundance with temperature changes (P<0.01) and dissolved oxygen (P<0.01) and CPUE with temperature (P<0.01) and dissolved oxygen (P<0.05).
